About me
A product designer based in Taipei.
Graduated in 2018 with Industrial Designer MA at Shih-Chien University in Taipei. In 2014 I was in Germany for 10 months for exchange program at Bergische Universität Wuppertal. During the period, I accomplished two projects in cooperation with local German companies, BRAUN and Dräger. After coming back from Germany, I finished six-month internship at an interaction installation studio, WHYIXD, where I helped the construction and execution of art installations in projects Ambilight Christmas Tree in Shanghai, and Future Lab. The experience to work with art installation design team has expanded my perspective toward art and design. The trans-disciplinary design approach to work on the cross-field projects of art, design, and technology has affected my design process in a positive manner. I am also a street photography enthusiast and city observer. As the line goes in the movie The Secret life of Walter Mitty, "Beautiful things don't ask for attention", which idea stuck with me for the ongoing years, the intrinsic beauty of our world lies all over the place, all we have to do is to find it out. This is what makes me enjoy taking my camera anywhere, to find anything that catches my eye on the streets, capture it and keep me in that particular moment. As an industrial designer, I am passionate about the design craft, meaningful products, designing experiences and identifying opportunities. My philosophy of design is to merge form, function, and technical feasibility through a overall point of view that includes strategic analysis and design studies to better understand trends, behavior, and market opportunities. |
